What will you do in lessons at the Gem Vocal Studio?

Turn judgment into curiosity.

The voice is a uniquely personal instrument because it’s literally a part of us. It can be so hard not to judge ourselves when we sing. Lessons can help you to turn that judgment into curiosity. This shift in mindset creates an opportunity for you to learn and grow as a singer in ways you may not have thought possible.

Learn how your instrument works.

While there is definitely something magical about singing, a lot of it comes down to vocal science. The voice is the only living, breathing instrument, and it’s a marvelous web of connective tissue, cartilage, and muscles. Just like learning any other physical skill, there are tried and true methods for training your voice to become stronger and healthier until singing feels natural. I can teach you how to coordinate your breath, body, and voice into one powerful, unique instrument.

Make a plan.

There are no “one-size-fits-all” lessons at the Gem Vocal Studio. Each voice requires a unique approach. I can teach you simple, effective methods based on science to help you strengthen your voice and expand your abilities. You don’t need a piano or any musical experience, just patience, time, and practice!
